With reference to the enclosed copies of tele-
graphic correspondence on the subject of the death of Mr. W. Curwen, Headmaster of Yaumati School, I have the honour to inform you that as deceased met his death on actual service as
a Volunteer, I decided to grant Mrs. Curwen, in addition to the. pansion of £91.08.2d. per amun to which she is entitled from the Widows and Orphans Pensions, a pension at military rates under Section 15 of the Volunteer Ordinance, 1893, of the amount indicated on the enclosed Volunteer Pension Paper.

I transmit the death certificate, in triplicate,
in accordance with your request.
3.
The Crow Agents for the Colonies have been requested to pay these pensions to Mrs. Curwen as they become

due.
